Between River and Sky is inspired by my childhood summers spent in the Island Park area, where days were filled with wandering through the tall pines, floating down mountain streams, and taking in the quiet beauty of the landscape. Vertical forms evoke slender tree trunks, while bands of blue suggest water winding through the forest. Stitched branches add texture and rhythm, echoing the peaceful stillness of this treasured place. Through my improvisational piecing technique, Between River and Sky reflects the memories of a landscape that continues to shape my connection to nature and inspire my work.
